"They defeated defending district champions Hanover-Edison in a double-header 15-7, 15-7, and then 15-12, 11-15, and 15-12.
"It was the [CSDB] junior high team's first volleyball victory in 7 years! It as difficult to tell who were more excited -- the girls or the parents amid the post-victory bedlam in the gym. Victorious coach John Sisson got his reward, a coller of ice dumped on his head."
