RALPH MACLEAN MEBANE [Excerpts from THE BOULDER PLANET, 11 December 11 1996]: 69, Boulder, Colorado, died 8 December 1996, at Boulder Community Hospital. He was born 11 July 1927, in Washington, D.C., the son of Thomas and Louise Mebane. He married Peggy McCray on 26 December 1953, in New Orleans, Louisiana. He attended the Central Institute for the Deaf, St Louis, Missouri. He worked as a senior draftsman at Ball Aerospace until his retirement in 1993. Survivors include his wife; his daughter, Louise, of Los Angeles; two brothers, Tom, State College, Pennsylvania, and John, Hilo, Hawaii. A memorial service was held at East Boulder Baptist Church on December 10th. Memorial contributions may be made to the Laurent Clerc Educational Fund of Colorado (Magnet School of the Deaf), c/o either Crist Mortuary, 3395 Penrose Place, Boulder, CO 80301, or East Boulder Baptist Church, 7690 Baseline Road, Boulder, CO 80303.
