JUST MOVED TO DENVER ?

Excerpts -- email: billy.krahl@lmco.com
from Billy Krahl, 24 February 1997:

"Another section in DEAF-LINK COLORADO E-ZINE to consider is 'What to do when you are deaf and have just moved to Denver'. Need to know -- phone numbers of interpreter agencies, where the Deaf clubs are, where the Deaf can go to churches and temples where interpreter services are provided or where then pastors and rabbis are Deaf or can sign, etc."

Response:

The editors of DEAF-LINK COLORADO have preparations well in hand for a fairly comprehensive DIRECTORY of individuals, agencies, associations, centers, offices, organizations, etc., connected with the Colorado deaf community. Target date for release is 1 June 1997 if not sooner.

The initial issue will be cobbled from various sources: the old directory of the Center on Deafness (COD, Denver), the Denver city and county government TTY listing from the Deaf Access Committee (DAC), the 1966 directory of Telecommunications for the Deaf Inc (TDI), other "open" mailing lists, and -- mainly -- personal knowledge of the editors.

To ensure that your name and/or agency name is included, please contact the editors of DEAF-LINK COLORADO.

Also, the editors of DEAF-LINK COLORADO DIRECTORY seek bona fide sponsors -- be they associations, businesses, or individuals -- who would like to have a major hand in (funding) the production of this DIRECTORY. In-draft-form samples are available. Contact us, please, with Inquiries, offers, and proposals.
